Is there anything my dog wants to tell me?

Hello Sonya!

Last year I rescued a 7 year-old Rottie that was scheduled to be put down for Valley Fever/seizures. She’s beautiful and my best friend and I’ve done my best this year to keep her in good health.  In spite of that, she had 19 seizures this past year.  She’s currently on Bromide, Phenobarbital & Fluconozole.  My question:  Is she on the right meds?  What is the cause of her seizures? And, is there anything she wants to tell me? (It is just her and me at home – I hope she’s happy)

Thank you so much!!

Judi

Dear Judi,

Congratulations on your beautiful dog. She tells me you love her very much and she loves you too. I am not a veterinarian, so I can’t give any medical advice. I can tell you that Dr. Martin Goldstein (Dr. Marty) is a holistic veterinarian who is very knowledgable about what causes seizures in dogs. You can go to his website, http://www.drmarty.com,  and set up a phone appointment with one of his experts. They can talk to you about treatment options for your dog. There will be a fee, but very often he will find a vet in your area that can work with your dog on the problem. I also recommend his book, The Nature of Animal Healing. Judi, your dog wants you to know that she did not think she could be so happy until she met her beautiful mom. She is so happy to be with you.

Lots of Love,

Sonya

(Louis says hello too… Woof! Woof!)

What does my dog think of me?

Dear Louis and Sonya,

Why does my dog Dusty run around the couch at my in-laws house? What does she think of me?

Thanks,

Joleen

Dusty

Dear Joleen,

Dusty loves to visit his grandparents – and shows her joy by running around the sofa. They love and spoil her! Dusty thinks you are the best mom in the world. She tells me that you are very beautiful. Dusty says that she likes your pretty hair better when you leave it flowing and not when you tie it back. Dusty also loves to follow you around the house. Her family makes her one happy dog.

Woof Woof With Love,

Louis (Through Sonya)

Is my recently deceased cat ok, and why won’t my other cat leave the room?

Dear Sonya and Louis,

This is actually a question about a cat. My orange Tabby, Simba, died suddenly on December 8, 2011. He was fine one moment, and keeled over and died the next (he was not even sick). It was quite traumatic as you can imagine, and I just wanted to make sure he was alright. I miss him a great deal and so does our other cat, Jasmine, who was away in the hospital the night Simba died. We have moved since then, and Jasmine refuses to come out of the one room she is in to explore the rest of the house. She has been in there for six months now! Any assistance you could lent would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Annette

simba

Dear Annette,

This is Louis talking to you. Simba is here in heaven with me and wants you to know that Jasmine feels and knows Simba is with and around her all the time. But, Jasmine was confused because she couldn’t see Simba’s physical body after Simba passed. So Simba and I have explained to Jasmine that the physical body is something we all travel in when we live in the physical world. Jasmine missed Simba’s physical body. Now Jasmine knows why she can feel Simba even though Simba is not with her in the physical body. Jasmine now understands that Simba has traveled back home to the spiritual realm in his light body. When we travel back we can still be with our families, we are just a thought away and you will feel and sense us around you. Simba says he loves you very much.

Woof woof,

Love Louis (through Sonya)
