They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks but this doesn’t appear to apply to these super talented pups. If you’ve been watching NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent” this season, then you have probably been amazed and wowed by the extremely talented Olate Dogs. Last night the Olate Dogs was crowned winner and America couldn’t have been more right in making that decision. These beautiful pooches are absolutely amazing! Jumping rope, hopping on two feet, and countless other tricks helped these fabulous dogs take home the million dollar prize this year.
Judges Sharon Osbourne, Howard Stern and Howie Mandel were left shocked as the pups displayed impressive agility to scoop the grand prize and will now have a headlining act in Las Vegas. Hailing from Houston Texas, the father and son dog trainers Richard and Nicholas Olate have been working and training dogs for over 20 years, with most of their dogs being rescued from animal shelters.
The Olates’ have travelled extensively throughout North and South America, appearing in theater shows, circuses, and stage performances. Besides being on this seasons America’s Got Talent, this group of gifted dogs have also been featured on other shows such as The Today Show, Regis and Kelly (winners of the Relly Award, favorite specialty performance of 2006), and 60 Minutes to name a few. The Olates’ continue to prove just how smart and intelligent our canine companions are and we can’t wait to see what new tricks they pull out of their bag for their upcoming Vegas show. Congratulations Olate Dogs!
