Will my older dog ever warm up to my new cat?

Dear Louis,

I want to know if my dog Jake will ever be nice to my new cat???  It’s been 10 weeks and we have made zero progress, and we think that Jake could be plotting the disappearance of Travis the cat!

Please Help!!!

~Pamela

Dearest Pamela,

Good job!  You are already recognizing our language!  The fact that you can feel that Jake is not to happy with the arrival of Travis, means you have the ability to key in to what we are feeling and thinking.  What a gift!

Remember… Whatever your intuition tells you – always trust it.  Always

So the answer to your question is No… I don’t think Jake and Travis will ever be buddies.  And Travis is also worried about Jake’s behavior towards him!  So just keep your eye on that wonderful dog of yours.  He loves you dearly, but he will never feel love for Travis.

I also want to ask you to be very cautious.  If you leave your home, always put Travis in the bedroom and close the door.  Of course, when you are home, you’re there to watch your wonderful dog Jake and your beautiful cat Travis.  Both of your animals are very happy and love you dearly – just as you love them!

Thank you for writing to me.  I am more than happy to help you.

Love,

Woof, Woof!

Lou
