Dear Socks,

Socks
Thank you for allowing me to be a mom. Early in life, I found that I could not have children. I married a wonderful man, who had a previous marriage & children of his own, so he wasn’t interested in additional kids. I felt empty I needed my own children to love, cherish and take care of. My husband suggested a puppy and we went and found you. From all the pups in the liter, you walked up to us and licked our shoes. We knew you were mine. It’s been 8 years since that day. When I say “come,  mommy’s baby,” you come, you love, you cuddle and you kiss. You are my child. I thank you for providing a plug for the hole in my soul. It was you who I needed.

Thanks.. I love you..
