Comfort Dogs Going to Boston

As we all try to wrap our hearts and minds around the tragedy in Boston, it’s stories like this that help us realize there is so much good in the world.

The same K-9 Parish Comfort Dogs that spent time in Newtown are now en route to Boston. According to their Facebook page:

Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Parish Comfort Dogs will be deployed to Boston to be with the survivors of the bombings of April 15, 2013. We will be working with First Lutheran Church of Boston several blocks away from the finish line of the Boston Marathon race. Rev. Ingo Dutzmann, Pastor of First Lutheran Church of Boston, has asked that the LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs be there for those in the community who are shaken up from the bombings.

Rev. Tim Yeadon, District President of the New England District, will be joining us as we bring the Mercy and Comfort of Jesus Christ to those shaken up by the Boston Marathon tragedy. LCC Comfort Dogs, Addie Comfort Dogand Maggie Comfort Dog, serving Newtown and Sandy Hook Elementary School, will be present in Boston.

We ask for help:

* Prayers for all affected by the bombings
* Support for travel expenses of the LCC K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry. We never charge those we serve and rely on other donors to help us bring the Presence of Christ to those suffering.

Thank you for all of your support in helping!
