Loved And Never Lost – Ali Michele Layton

ALI MICHELE LAYTON
October 3, 1998 – NOvember 11, 2009

Wednesday, November 11, 2009, I lost my companion, my protector and most of all, my best friend. As much as I tried to prepare myself for the inevitable loss and pain, in truth, there was no way I could have. The pain and loss is truly indescribable.

Ali taught me things. She taught me loyalty, she taught me patience, she taught me responsibility, she taught me to love unconditionally, but mostly, she gave me unmeasurable joy.

Most people think that we raise dogs. The truth of the mater is that Ali raised me. We grew up together. I was lucky enough to have our paths cross when I was 35 years old, a pup myself.

People would stop me on the street all the time and say, “Wow, what a beautiful dog.” From the day she was born, she was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen. I literally stared at her every day. Her personality was so big and she was undeniably the smartes dog I’ve ever known.

I want to thank you Ali. Thank you for showing me a love I’ve never experiences before. Thank you for protecting me your entire life, a role you took very seriously. Thank you for all your goodness, for always making me laugh, for always making heart smile, for your companionship, for all your teachings, and for all your unconditional love. I miss you beyond words, but you will always be and live in my heart. Forever.

I love you,

Mom
